[QUOTE=dshepp806;8937741]Although my problem source on this one (several years ago), wasn't galled or frozen plug that broke,....as it WAS a cross-thread that SNAPPED.,,,,I felt compelled to share...had some good buddies talk me thru this bummer......

Started here: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...lug-trail.html

Then, to this: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...ck-1-plug.html

Rolling on, to this: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...ss-1-plug.html

I would note that this process ended in a bit of "misunderstanding" as to the product I ORIGINALLY requested for repair (i.e.,: TIMESERT). On my later tuneup (a bit later down the road), I successfully removed my repaired #1 plug WITH THE FRIKIN' INSERT ATTACHED TO THE PLUG......I almost had a frikin' heart-attack....discovered some helicoil approach was used (NOT my requested TimeSert approach) and the shop agreed to install the TimeSert under warranty...We are to do this within the next month (yeap: good guys!), although I HAD to buy the the Kit for them......(kinda' a pisser, as it was not cheap,..but: no worries.....).....they'll addres this while installing new WEVO rear sway bar mounts.

Still,..kinda' nerve-racking.....

Anywaze,..just wanted to share a bit of a "dated" spark plug story.......

Best, to all!

Doyle
