Post Al Reed, Anyone know how to contact?

I'm thinking about sending him my Fuchs this spring/summer. I'd like to talk to him and get some ideas of what it's going to take.

Anymore experiences with his work?

Since no one has replied to your post, I will...You might want to search on 'Al Reed' on the Pelican site...He is consistently given very high marks for the quality of his work and his pricing, and I think someone posted his phone number within the past couple of weeks. Hope this helps...

Al's work is absolutely first rate. Pricing varies depending on what you want done. He's in the processing of doing a second set of wheels for me. He's stripping the anodizing, polishing, painting the webbing, and then clear coating them. He did the last set the same way, and they're still gorgeous.

I understand the concept of "pride of ownership," and how that drives some people to spend countless hours polishing wheels by hand. I think my time (and elbows, hands, etc.) is better spent elsewhere, and Al's pricing and quality makes it easy to choose having him do the work over doing it myself.

He can do pretty much anything when it comes to these wheels. To get some ideas on styles or "looks," you might go over to the Wheel Enhancement website and see what's there. www.wheelenhancement.com.

Al is a great guy, and you won't be disappointed with his work.

Just sent a pair of Fuchs to Al. He quoted $105 per wheel for OE-style anodization and paint, without seeing the wheels! Very personable fellow.

Thanks for the numbers and recommendations. I'm thinking the old style with the webbing painted black and the spokes and outers polished.

Al is the best. I use him for mounting and balancing tires as well. He is the best.
