81 911SC Catalytic Converter? where to buy
I am a Porsche/Rennlist newbie.
My new(old) porsche needs a Cat, and I was wondering what shops you would suggest. Mail order or retail store(Los Angeles)
Thanks.

About $285 http://www.porsche-parts-direct.com/epc-items.asp
Check these guys for a used one http://www.dcautomotive.com/default.htm
You might also check the local NAPA store, Auto Zone, etc. sometimes they come up with a good price on a replacement part like a cat. Of course, you can buy a universal cat for under $100 and have it welded in place. Also, take a look at the Pelican Used Parts forum. You may find someone parting out a SC and be able to buy a used one at a good price.

All have aftermarket, direct-fit (not universal) cats for less than $300.
