Great site guys. Though I have heard about it I never have checked it out . Love all Porsche's but lean toward the air cooled ... I have a few I race and my ever day driver is a Cayenne .

Thanks for the welcome guys... I hear yeah. It seems when the word "passion" applies it either cost you money or your sanity..or both
Miguel.. I have a GT1R 993 bodied car I race in club events and I have a 1976 934 that raced in Europe 1976-1978 and in both the USA/IMSA 1980-1986 and Central and South America 1978-1988 . The car was converted to a full 935 with upside down gearbox,ti axles by GAACO and twin turbo motor by Andial. I also have two Akin cars . 962-113 and 935-84 or "The Last 935" as it is known.

Road America 2000 or 2001 . I think my 2:16 is still a track record for GT1 for PCA
my 934 now a 935 is chassis # 930 670 0171 . The motor is just about finished with a rebuild by Dick Elverude . Hayden at Wevo is going to take over the resto next month. Hope to make it to Monterey in August.
The two Coca~Cola cars I acquired from Steve Southard. Steve was nice enough to let me be the current care taker for these two jewels. 962-113 was the car that won the 1986 Sebring 12 hour and crossed the finish line with only three wheels The 115.8 mph average is still a record at Sebring. Akin has been quoted more than once saying 935-84 was his favorite race car.

Nice collection you've got. Not a great pic but here is one of your #5 at The Glen a couple years ago at a vintage weekend. Through the interloop at the end of the back stretch. Don't remember if it was the Chemung Canal or the Zippo weekend. I do remember smiling a lot though hearing the boost on that car. Welcome to Rennlist.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
Andy , I know Steve raced at the Zippo so maybe that is it...I have pretty much searched all the pics of this car on the web...if you have any others I would love to see them! Thanks for sharing.
I was going to take 935-84 out at Sears/Infineon for Wine Country but I just got the car and though it is in excellent condition I want to nut and bolt it clean the fuel system and take it for a day of testing.... I would prefer not to have a race weekend be my first time out in any car .. and certainly not at Sears Point of all tracks ( sorry , I have a problem calling it Infineon)
