My new(to me) RoW 84 Cab....before and after pics :)
Well as some of you know I sold the black beast (86 928S) and bought this 84 RoW 911 Cab, here are the pics when I got it home the first day.
after one month and new carpet, new interior, new, new, new, new.....the list goes on and on but here is the final product
What do you guys and gals think?

Car looks like a different car now . i must say I like the carrera tail better than the Turbo tail personally. Looks good though. Did you recover the seats ? if so what did you use and are you happy with the results ?

A much better tail for that car would be the 1977 whale tail without the accommodations for the intercooler. This looks too massive for a car with Carrera flairs. I noticed you also put on the sidemarkers on. (I did that for my old 81 when it was much younger).

Hi,
What colour is you car? (colour name/code).
Mine is an 86 which may have been the same colour but it was re-painted to "carmon red" before I bought it. I was told that the colour was changed because it was difficult to find the exact original colour.
I must admit that, same as ice above, I prefer the look of the car without the turbo tail and I do like the original fuchs but your spoke wheels are also quite classy.
Enjoy

I prefer the BBS wheels. If I could find decent 6-or-7 fronts with 9" rears, gold centers, at a reasonable cost, I'd be all over them for my black 84 Cab. I'm a wheel freak though, so that'd just be one of the sets I'd have (currently have 3 sets for her: 16" Fuchs, 16" '92 C2 5-spokes, & 17" Cups).
As for the tail, without the bonnet on, it looks almost like a multi-stage piece that's 6 feet long front to back.
The tail is growing on me though, as I've been trying to decide if that's something I'd want to do on mine. I doubt I'd choose a turbo tail unless it was on a ready-to-bolt-on color matching lid as well. I like the older IROC style tails, etc. right now, and can also partially picture a Ducktail on the cab. Might save the tail for the next 911.
Have fun finding interior pieces in that color though (same as mine, burgundy), if you ever need them. I've been looking for Cab rear speaker panels to modify to accomodate the roll bar for some time now.
Looks good, enjoy!

The one thing I do like about this board is you are going to get guys who are honest yet respectful, and it is not a " mutual admiration society". When some asks "what do you think" I would hope an honest albiet personally biased opinion is provided. That is why the qustion is asked ... but I do agree .. just go drive it and enjoy....

I agree iceman, it's all a matter of taste. I personally prefer the Fuch's style but like the way the BBS wheels seem to fill out the wheel wells better. A tatefully done job, now get out there and enjoy it!

LOL, I posted the pics to get an idea on everyones opinion. I take no offence to it at all. I like the turbo tail better than the Carrera and I also had the fuchs on the car but I love the 3 pc BBS wheels. The car has come a long way from what it was when I got it. The interior was a puke white/grey and was in really bad shape. Here is a pic with the Fuchs on it after I painted them then I got a sweet deal on the BBS's and could not resist. I have not figured out if I am going to take the Carrera off the side or not yet or install the stone guards.......
