Post looking for fuchs wheels

I recently bought a 66 912 with a 69 911 engine in it - I'm excited about the prospect of the project. I'm looking for the correct fuchs wheels to replace the steel wheels - correct size would be 15x4.5? Would 15x5.5 or 15x6 fit just as easily?
Anybody have any for sale? What would be the average price?

Thanks,
Joseph Mitro

Joseph, I am heading to an all Porshe Swapmeet this weekend. I can check prices and get names and numbers for you if you would like. I beleive you can go up to 15x6 or even a 16x6 if you want. I could be wrong, though I have seen a couple SWB with them on. Let me know.

BIOTRON, It is being held at the California Speedway. Here is the link

Its an all Porsche event starting tomorrow. Worth the drive I think.

Maybe I'll go over and check it out since I need an extra set of 16x9.

joseph mitro,

Go with 16 x 6 , i believe that is the biggest width you can go without adding carrera flares.

Joseph, Just an additional thought. I have been reading on some BBS's that alot of early 911 owners are going back to the steel wheels for a more period look, especially if their cars originally came with them. So dont just give those wheels away when you find the Fuchs. They could be worth a little if in decent shape.
