ice: The studs you need are 8mm x 20mm. Also, I couldn't see flat washers under the nuts in your photo, put one on each stud before you put it together...

Thanks Pete
Do I put the studs in the transmission with some type of loctight ? There were no washers on at all. I was just going out now actually to get some new hardware , but getting metric hardware is diffcult here , especially on a Saturday ...

Project Done.
Found some 8 X20 studs so I decided to finish up , Cleaned up the brace and it was all just paint peeling and surface rust.put it through the wire wheel , put a good rust primer on and topped it with whatever I had lying around. I am going to put stainless nuts on the brace but I put plated crap ones on for now.
Things are progressing niceley ,,, now I know I said i was done Rod, but those exchangers just HAVE to go .... someone hand me the pb blaster :-)

Gee no wonder I can't get any heat ! its all pouring out those holes and cracks ...I want to put SSIs on but it is a little pricey for this year and I am nervous about the studs, maybe I will soak them over next winter .. by the look of thid car you would think I never drive it .. just continually work on it ..hmmm..
ps resprayed sway bar but new drop links. oh by the way i have a question about that . should the end of the sway bar pivot on the drop link ? mine does not . but I would have imagined it did . When I tighten the nuy it grps the sway bar. The reason I ask as that if it grips it hanging, it will be under more strain when I lower it off the stands as the geometry changes and the sway bar is gripped with it hanging ....

I've got a nice set of heat exchangers you can have with cross over and muffler for $150+ shipping from Los Angeles.
That's a good deal!
