Default Sun visors won't come off.

I found a company that can restore the visors on my 78SC, but after undoing the screw near the mounting bracket they won't slide off. I have tuned and twisted them in all directions-no luck. Do I have to send them with the brackets attached?

Yes! They attach at the pivot point and come off in one piece.

Hmm, sunvisors I've seen for sale on ebay are usually just the visor without the bracket. That would seem to indicate that they would just slide off the bracket.

What am I missing?

Never mind, I got them off. After unscrewing the mounting bracket I could slide out the pin by turning 360 degrees.

Thanks.

I sent an e-mail for a quote. I'll let you know. I got this link from the Pelican board, so they have done some Porsches for others.

Well, I heard back from the autosunvisor guys. They can do the 911 visors for $75 total, BUT you will lose the passenger mirror and they can only do all Black. Mine are 2 color Beige/Black. I'll pass, but it maybe ok for those of you with all black visors and no wifes/girlfriends
