Default 911 And Dirt Road

Ok I know I am crazy, but got the itch for another Porsche 911. Had 73 Targa in past but have since moved to the country and the life of a farmer. I have 1 1/2 miles of dirt road to get to good asphalt. Wanting to spend in the $10,000.00 to $25,000.00 range on a weekend car.

Any suggestions on best car for my situation? Also any prep on them that might help? I know some have been lowered a little but do some years have a natural higher riding height and clearance?

Thanks
Donald

Any none lowered SC or Carrerra will not give you clearance problems on a slighly rutted dirt road other then perhaps touching the front spoiler lip which is rubber. However a car with an aftermarket spoiler will probably have clearance issues. I have driven a 86 Carrera on rallies that included unpaved sections and did not have issues.

You shouldn't have clearance issues unless the car is really, really low, or the road is super bad. The access road into the track that I mostly go to is dirt, an full of potholes, and I've seen everything from super low track cars to a Ferrari Enzo to a Carrera GT drive down it without issue. Although they did go pretty slow

You're not crazy Big-D, driving a 911 on gravel roads is really funny.

The image shows me on my way down a mountain road in Norway.
