Default lindsey wheels

I am considering ordering a set of lindsey wheels for my turbo look. I want the p2 model which has the original fuch center. I want the 17x9 and 17x11. three questions. Has anyone got any feedback on the quality of the wheels as I have never seen them in person. Secondly does anyone know what tire size should be used with these? are there any clearance issues? I was not able to find the answers on this forum doing a search. I know that lindsey can answer all these questions but I would like feed back from people who use them. Thanks-Chris

Look at the ''LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING THREAD" above. Both Jack Olsen and Don Ramsay say good things about the wheels. If those guys use them, I think it's a pretty good bet that they are a top notch product.

I've talked to Don before and he's extremely knowledgable, helpful and friendly so why not give him a ring?

I'm sure a search here or on the pelican parts web site should turn up a lot of info.

Thumbs up There a great Choice

Hey Chris,
The Lindsey wheels are a very good choice if you wanting to stay with the Fuchs look with 17's. Mike dose a really top notch job with them.
You will have to use 9 1/2's in the front and 11's in the rear.
He has made me several sets and I have been very happy with them!
I highly recommend them.

I've been very happy with mine, and I've personally bought four sets from them. I've been tracking the P2's since 2001 with no problems.

Under Turbo flares, you should be able to run 9.5x11x17 wheels with 275/315 tires. On my car, I could fit 335's in back, probably, but can't go any bigger than 275 in front.

I have an 87 carrera with turbo flares and am interested in these wheels also. Did anyone with a turbo conversion have to roll the fenders or modify oil lines to fit 9s and 11s, 17?

No! Ya don't have to roll the fenders unless ya use the size tires that Jack is using.
I use 255 or 265 in front and a 315 in the rear.

You should definitely consider buying from Mike Lindsey. I have known Mike for many years and his workmanship is first rate.

Edgy01 and I used to live in Oklahoma City and belonged to WarBonnet Region PCA. Mike Lindsey is a friend and has been a member of PCA for many years supporting his region in many aspects. His workmanship and quality is very good and he puts out a good product.
