Yet another newbie
Hi guys, I've been a registered user for a while, but have not yet come to the part of introducing myself. So here goes.
I am a Norwegian scientist/researcher on composite materials, and here are a couple of images of my car. To be honest, I did not really like Porsches until I got to try a friends yellow 911 S from 1970. After that I kind of saw the light, or started down the slippery slope.
When not playing with my 911 Carrera 3.2 from '84 I work on this little toy .

Thanks!
The weather is shaping up, and I'll take the car out from the winter storage in a week or so. At least that is the plan.
BTW, Rod. My dad learned to fly in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, a couple of ages ago.

What a nice car. Are those RUF wheels? I like 'em a lot. (slightly OT) But the car on the website is something else. 525 kg? 380 - 525 hp? Holy moley. Second half of 2006...that's real soon now. Looks kinda like an Elise competitor but with SERIOUS power. What's the target market? And where? I suspect the North American market would be out of the question. But wow.

Small world, Peter, Moose Jaw is only 2 hours away by 911! If your Dad was here during the WWII flight training days, that was 1941-4 -- before my time. The base is still active and now includes NATO pilot training.
The weather is finally getting good enough to take the 911 out -- although the roads are still a mess so I've only had it out twice just to shake the dust off.
Cheers,
Rod.

Thanks for the nice comments! The images hides the scars, of an enthusiastic owner, but it still looks quite good for a 22 year old with 240.000 km on the odo.
Darryl, yes they are Ruf wheels. 8" and 9" by 17". I swapped a set of 15" Fuchs wheels for them. The late 2006 release date, might be a little optimistic. Though we have not tried, I think the difficult (horribly expencive) part will be to certify the engine for the US market. But who knows.
Rod. My dad was there in the sixties. Learned to fly Tutor, I think the plane was called.
Anyone want to let me in on how to make the signature that you have at the bottom of your replies?

Peter,
Along the top of the website pages is a horizontal list of button: "User CP", "FAQ", "Calendar", etc.
Open User CP and you'll see where to add a signature.

Gary, I've tried to become a member. But I only get the following message:
"The connection was interrupted
The connection to www.linkpointcentral.com was interrupted while the page was loading."
The usual nondescriptive errormessage followed by try again later.
