Default Power mirror diagnosis

Both power mirrors on my '79 are not functioning properly, neither responds well to switch inputs. They move, but will not really adjust properly. Wondering whether it is the mirrors, the motors or perhaps the switch itself. Appreciate anyone with experience in correcting similar problems could point me in the right direction to begin trouble-shooting the problem.

Thanks

Hi....just had exactly the same problem with my 930.
There was a whirring noise coming from the mirrors, but no movement.
It turned out to be a faulty joystick switch.....fortunately very cheap and easy to replace.
Regards.

Dave.

Hey a Geordie .. with a 930? where do you keep the thing so it doesn't get stolen by the blokes on the dole from Sunderland .. ?

( I was at the parade when Sunderland won the cup in 72 on Porterfields goal ( I was Born There ) . That was enough for me and off to Canada in 75. )

PS how much did you pay for your switch . mine was 35.00 USD ...
