Post Top End Rebuild

I've had my SC for a couple of years now and have been reading the boards for almost as long. I see the term top end rebuild alot but don't know what it is. So, excuse my ignorance, but exactly does a top end rebuild consist of? Any good tech articles?

Generally, when people talk about a top-end job they mean removing the heads and sending them out to get inspected and rebuilt as necessary, valves/guides/springs/etc.

On 911's, it usually means the same thing, but because of the engine design, it can also mean removing the pistons & jugs, everything but splitting the case.
