Any comments on the durability of the C4's?

I assume you are posting about the C4's from 1989 to 1994. I invite you to post on the 964 board. You may get a few more bites there...
The C4 system is relatively robust. I have not heard of many large drive train failures on C4's. Keep in mind that AWD systems spread the power and torque between 4 wheels and related components vs. two drive wheels on C2's. That means each wheel receives less stress than on C2's.
The C4 and C2 have almost identical 0-60 times. If I remember correctly, only top speed suffers on the C4 due to drive train losses.
The weight penalty is about 270 lbs.
Hope this helps,
Jay
