Question 911 SC Heads!

I was wondering if heads from a 77' 3.0 liter
930 will fit on an 80's 911 sc. If so, what are the mods that are required if there are any.
Thanks in advance.
Pete,
77' 930
83' 944

While they might fit, I don't think you'd wan't to go that route. They have smaller ports and valves due to the fact that 930s needed the low end torque before the boost kicked in. I'm not sure about the CC volume rating in the combustion chamber that you would have with those heads on an SC motor as well, I don't believe the valve relief pockets in your pistons, or lack thereof on an SC piston could accomodate the heads either.

Why would you want to use these heads in the first place?? ...just curious. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">
