Default Shift **** replaced

I've seen maybe 100 or so threads on this topic, and all seem to favor the same half-dozen or so replacement options.
I thought I had found a perfect replacement on eBay the other day, only to find out that once it was installed, it wouldn't stay put, and the diameter of the thing was too big and thus uncomfortable.
I since found this one and thought it was worthy of a picture for others to check it out. It is brushed stainless steel, and matches the aluminum trim items in my car nicely.
Believe it or not, I found it at pepBoys for $30. The inside diameter of teh **** is a very snug fit over the shifter, and the set screws that come with it are actually big enough to tighten beyond a fingers' twist. It doesn't move a bit, and I didn't have to trim off the set screws to get the lower trim ring to fit.

EWWWW! Looks like I need to clean the grime off that shifter!

Performance Products. I've been told this is the style from earlier cars. Others that might be a better fit for the later cars. I've seen several on eBay that look promising.

I know, I know....
I drive it to work as often as possible and the sawdust is impossible to keep out of the car.
The dirt on the carpet, however is actually on the floor mats. The carpet is in nearly new condition.
I am waiting at least 30-60 days for the repainted 1/4 panel to 'cure' before having the car detailed.
I'm not sure why, but it just seemed like a good idea to wait a while before letting someone scrub against the fresh paint. Even if they are a pro.
