Post 3M headlight protectors (stick on) where to buy?

Does anyone know of a source of these clear stick on protectors other than full retail for custom fit through XPEL, Griott's Garage, etc? I want to fit these on 4 cars, so would like to buy a bulk sheet at a reasonable cost. Perhaps a home supply store or???
What's the generic name of this produc?

Thanks
Mike

I'm interested in this product also......but I've got a question. This stuff "sticks" on the glass, does it come off easy if you want to remove it, or is it a permanent stick.
thanks, Robert

I have those thingies, but I've never heard of anyone taking them off. I also don't remember ever reading about take-off in the ads or instructions. I'd guess they would come off; maybe easier with some heat application from a hair dryer. The precut headlight and foglight film is 80 mil thick, while the rectangular sheets for hood and fenders is only 20 mil thick. Easy to apply, but be careful to push all the air bubbles out toward the edges. Mine have been on for 3 or 4 years.

My company used to sell 2" 4" 6" rolls of the 3M gaurd to our race teams along with their graphics. It was a very low margin product because 3M thinks the stuff is gold. Another company has since picked up the distributorship in the southeastern U.S. (I think) SRI Racing Supplies http://www.sri-supplies.com/ will most likely have what you need but be prepared to pay for it because they will only sell by the roll.

I would contact a local sign supply shop that sells 3m vinyl and inquire about a sample (18" x 18") piece of the gaurd. A plastic company that sells Plexi-glass and other plastic substrates would also have it. http://www.piedmontplastics.com/ is one the east coast. Once you have the sample you probably will have enough for covering your lamps and wont need to buy any.

Any Armourfend distributor has that type of material. I actually got mine (not 3M though) from a Volvo supplier, in a cut-to-fit sheet. I'd think that similar products could be found at Pep Boys or Autozone.

You have the choice of ordering bulk like from
http://www.vehicleprotectionfilms.com/vpf/products.asp or you can order a pre-cut kit that fits your vehicle from places like stongard or rockblocker.
