Red face rear sway bars on a 72T

The car: 72 911T coupe, stock
The project: to fit OE style rear sway bars to the car
The problem: right side is good; left side, there is an access problem to weld the clamping bracket up under the body. The MFI fuel pump and its mounting bracket seems to be VERY close to the chassis rail where the sway bar bracket is welded. It looks to be almost impossible to get in there to weld the sway bar bracket in place.

Any tips on how this is done? Short of cutting off the fuel pump bracket and re-welding it back on, is there a simpler way? (I haven’t yet removed the fuel pump — maybe just taking off the pump and hoses will give enough room).

Anyone with a MFI car BTDT???

P.S. There was a very nice viper green 72S for sale on Rennlist classifieds — did it sell???

Thanks,
Mike
