Default wheel question

i already asked this question in the wheels/tire section here but there does not seem to be all too much action over there so i thought i would ask here. does anyone have any personal experiences with the repoduction fuch wheels that performance products sells? is it a big deal that they are cast not forged? any info i can get from you guys will help me a bunch

They weigh a lot more....they arent as strong....and they are not very good replicas if you ask me...you can find used fuchs for about the same price sometimes....

Fellow Hudson Champlain region member here. If you are going to be using the car for track events cast replicas will not suffice. They have been known in many instances to catastrophically fail when at the track. The only way to go is real forged fuchs. Wheel Enhancement is a good place to start. I would also check the classifieds here on Rennlist and Pelican Parts.

thanks for the advice guys, i am going to stay away from them and look for some real ones. Driver8- are you going to the meeting at RPI? just curious.

I got mine off eBay. Get lots of pics if buying over the internet. Mine came off an 87 Turbo after 300 miles and boxed until '05. Really clean, but I paid for them. Makes a huge difference! Shipping is expensive too, so if you find local its a plus.

Ditto - stay away from replicas...too many problem stories. Good luck!
