I was wondering how to handle a PPI, 1500 miles away, when the car in question is at known porsche shop, being sold for one of their customers.
Any thoughts are apreciated.
Thanks in advance, Rich

i had my PPI done at the porsche dealer I paid the extra dollars about 350.00 for a full PPI including Leak Down/Compression and every details you could think of. Flew out and drove the car back home and took me 14 hours. Car drove like a champ with no problems.

I would stay away from dealers, I had my car PPId by one before I bought it and they provided poor information. I just sold that car to an out of the country buyer and he had had it PPid by a local dealer and they provided poor and improper information. I think the problem is the last aircooled car was made in 1998, fully 8 years ago, and the dealers staff has not been properly trained to work on these "older" cars. The independent shops seem to be much more focused on these cars, if you get a good one though.
