suspension question
Thinking about updating the rear fabricated steel control arms on my '73 911T to aluminum arms from an SC. I would like to be able to use late style/and or aftermarket stabilizer bars. Does anyone know of any reason these won't be a bolt in deal?

You may have to mill some material from where the shocks bolt to the arms to move the shocks outward so there will be enough shock clearance, also, I think the shock bolts are bigger on the alum. arms.

Check this thread at Pelican: http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/...m+control+arms
'74 aluminum control arms bolt on, more-or-less.
My '72 is in the shop now getting aluminum control arms. I found some '77 control arms and had to come up with some hubs to match; my '72 hubs would not work.
This issue has been covered pretty well at Pelican and a search there will reveal more information than the single thread I have posted above.
Good luck to you!
Regards,
Kurt

Regarding rear sway bars, a bar like Weltmeister mounts to the spring plates.
Other bars attached there as well, although there are bars that will attach to the control arm ball joints that you will find on the aluminum control arms.
I think the bigger issue is hubs, CVs, stub axle flanges and such.
Black Forest in San Diego is doing my conversion, and so far I have only had to change the hubs. We'll see if they call me tomorrow letting me know I need some additional parts.
