Hey Guys
I just purchased a nice 1998 TARGA it only has a 21K miles on the car.
When I use the tiptronic going from 1st to 2nd the car goes on no problem, however it seems to go into a over drive or a 2 1/2 gear. Almost like an over drive as soon as it the second gear in shifted.

I had the tech guy.... look at the computer system and every thing checked fine.

There are no error on the tip tronic error. This " problem " does seem to go away at high speed shifting and does tend to happen on the 3rd gear on automatic.

Is there a high and low gear on the second gear?

What your describing is the torque converter locking up. It's perfectly normal for a tip.
