Default Fuchs prices

Hi guys. First post in here.
I am going to list a set of wheels on e-bay for a friend.
They are original Fuchs from a '78 911 with tyres (Pirelli). Fronts are 16 x205, rears are 16x245 (tyre width).
Condition of the wheels can only be described as ' fantastic'! The black paint is still shiny! No scratches on the chrome etc. Tyres so,so.
Anybody got a ballpark value on these? I'll just add 200% for Australia!
OK. Just found some on ebay. Prices are sky high. However these wheels have absolutely no damage and are in 'as new' condition. Prices?

With wheels one is usually concerned about the width of the wheel and it's offset, in addition to the diameter.

'78 SC came w/ 6x16ET36 and 7x16ET23.3 stock, but that may not be what you are proposing to market. Any potential buyer doing due diligance will want to know the full wheel specs.

Hi Brian,

The size of the rims will be stamped in the inside, prob under a layer of road grime. By the sound of it, your set with the 245s "may" be 8" Fuchs, which go for a pretty penny. If they are 7s however (and 6s for the fronts which is most common) then these are very common and will fetch around the $500 mark as rims only.

Also ascertain for certain whether the rims are, indeed, chromed or polished as this is an important distinction. Tires may or may not be a plus as many buyers prefer to choose their own tires. Since shipping will be pricey for your neck of the woods, you may want to list these both here and on the Pelican site for Aussie-sale. Hope this helps

also be sure there is Fox head or a "P" inside a triangle on the inside - very small - take a photo of these and put on your ad

Those icons show that the wheel is a real Fuchs and not a cheap, nearly worthless repro...

Gentlemen
Have taken your advice
This is what is inside the wheels:
7JX16 and 8JX16
triangle with the p in the middle and 911361020

I am going down there early in the New Year to clean them up a bit and take some decent pictures.
Until then:

Hey Brian,

The Fuchs look pretty good. The 7&8 x 16 is a great combo ...you will not have trouble unloading those, especially the 8s. I would, however, rethink the sock/shoe combination.

Unfortunately probably a lot more than it would cost to ship from Northern Australia to the east coast of the USA.

That is a partial number. If you refer to Bill Verburg's offset page Link Here you will see the wheel specs - scroll down the page to his fitment section. You probably have 911.361.020.45 & 911.361.020.44.

Honestly, that is just my shaky camera work. The pics were taken inside a shed.
As i said I am going to go down and clean them up in a week or two and take some decent pics. They are completely scratch free and really only feasible for someone in Aus or NZ to buy.
Why are people so negative?
