Ok...She's back in Colorado now! Will pull the motor and tear it down this weekend. So, just a few more days for those parts, you vultures! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Wow...motor came out really easy! It was a snap, except for that pesky allen head nut on the other side of the starter...that one sucked. I then went and checked out the "new" motor. 41k on a 3.0 from a garage queen 81 carrera. It Purrrrrrrrrrred.....

Michael I thought the 72 911T you bought up north and tried to drive back home was a garage queen? Be careful and good luck ..BTW make sure the new motor checks out top to bottom. I would give porsche PHD a call to see if he has a spare motor for sale.
