CV joint question
Does anyone know if Lobro CV joints are date stamped? I bought a set of new axles from a porsche vendor, but they looked like a sloppy rebuild, so I sent them back for another pair. (painted boots, rusted shaft painted over, etc)
The second pair arrived with nice shafts, clean boots and one new/clean looking CV joint on each axle with an apparent date code of 02/03. The other joints are dated 06/74, and 12/76 and they look old and used. There is also some portion of the manufactureres stamping ground off.
Am I crazy, or am I getting screwed?
