Post Original bumper

I just received an photo of my 1973 targa taken in June of that year. It had an 911s front bumper which was replaced long ago with a 74-on fiberglass one. I recently found an original standart early bumper but would now like to find an s style to match the original. Were they orignally steel? How hard would it be to fine an original? Thanks, Paul

The S bumper was steel.I have one on my 1970E,and found it at the swap meet. The seller was pretty sure it was from a '73. I can't remember what I paid for it,it was about 10 years ago. If you have a fiberglass one it's aftermarket. Porsche diddn't make any fibrglass stuff for the production cars.
