Default new to 911s, need advice

Hi there, im new to 911s but ive owned 2 87 924S' for over a year and i love them alot, except for their extremly high maintenence, and expensive parts that tend to fail often on my 225,000 mile car. I have a friend selling his beautiful 79 911 SC for $13,500. The original paint still looks in great condition, no scratches, no fading. The car mechanically is just as well taken care of and even though it is a high milage car, its been gone through and everything is in perfect running order. I would like to know what any weak spots on this car are, and what i should be looking out for if by some chance i can get the loan for this car. Thank you for any advice/information. Allways a porsche fan!!!!!!

First, can you give me the number of the seller? What color is it?

Chain tensioners, headstuds, clutch plate, most all rubbers, dashboard for starters (not "the" starter, but "For" starters)

Even though you are buying from a friend, you should still have a PPI done by a qualified independent garage. There may be things wrong that even he doesn't know. See Pete's PPI thread at the top of this forum.

Bear in mind the adage: Never do business with friends & family.
