The Gathering DETAILS!
All –
Forgive the late post, but you’re already used to dealing with me and John – so you shouldn’t have expected anything less!
Ok. The details you’ve been waiting for.
The First Annual (Yes -- it should become an annual thing – isn’t that exciting???) Rennlist Gathering!
When: Saturday, September 28, 2002.
Where: 496 Boston Post Road, Amherst NH 03031 (www.mapquest.com)
Who: Check the Rennlist lists, or the forums for a post by Jay Cohen on the Gathering Attendees. If you’re on it, we know you’re coming. If you’re not, email jayc@rennlist.com to insure that there’s food for you!!!
Time: Arrivals at “Rennlist Jay and Rennlist Cherina’s house” starts at 10:30AM.
Lunch will be served at noonish – promptly. Hamburgers, hot dogs, some salads, etc will be on hand, as will be a couple kinds of Beer, Soda, Wine, etc. Water available upon request. After the general cleanup after we eat, there will be a couple impromptu tech sessions. John Dunkle himself will lead a tech session on the 911/914 cars, while Jay Cohen will lead a tech session on the 944 series cars. (As the Toolmaster’s 9201 Tool is currently in use by a Tool Club member, would someone who’s coming please contact me (jayc@rennlist.com) if they have, and can bring the tool itself.)
Don’t worry about bringing anything (unless you like a specific kind of beer). There will be a jar for donations (which are appreciated!) at the BBQ if you wish to donate to the food/drink fund.
After the tech sessions, a northward trek will occur, so you might want to gas up prior to arrival at the numerous gas stations around. The ramble will culminate in Portsmouth NH, where there are still a few rooms available if you’d like to stay the night.
Sunday we’ll meet at the Red Hook Brewery in Portsmouth around 8:00AM and join North Country Region’s Car Show. Admission there to the concours is $20.00 US or a new unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots drive.
