Post 87 911 - Electric Lock System Suddenly Not Work

My electic locks all of a sudden do not work.

Here may be some helpful information.

Near the passenger front hood shock, there is an approximately 3x5 inch circuit board that apparently has something to do with the locking system. When I would try to lock or unlock the doors, it would buzz. It made a sound similar to when the door is opened and the keys have been left in the ignition. Eventually the buzzing stopped. The circuit board had also gotten wet. (When it dried, the buzzing did not come back)

On the console, the lock light (the red light with the key on it) is perpetually lit.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

John

You found it. That's the door lock unit.
It does fail sometimes.

Good luck
