Santa's Workshop
The local PCA Club had a Tech Day this last Saturday at Canepa Design over in Santa Cruz. Bruce Canepa has one of the best custom shops in the world, and is a certified Porsche nut.
One of his lines of business is restoring and updating 959s. They not only restore them, but bring the engines up to current (or better) EPA standards, and keep their 600+Hp ratings.
At any given time they have 10-15 cars that they are rebuilding at $650K an example.

Here is Seinfeild's rack of parts for his car.

This car was last owned by the Sultan of Brunei. It has 1000 km.

The business end.

Typical Porsche parking paddock.

One of my favorites, RS daily driver.

Here are some sorta OT photos of other cars of Interest that I also saw:
Mark Donahue's Trans-Am 1970 Javelin flanked by 2 RS-Rs.

2005 AMG DTM CLK -582 HP

The Ferrari GTO in the background is s/n 001.

My Favorite Ford, the 85 RS200 Rally car. 650 hp out of 2.1L, all wheel drive, 0-60 2.1 sec. Great for a daily driver!
