I have an aftermarket 'Laserline' in my 993 (fitted before my purchase) and it seems very good with loads of options, alarm condition indications (sequence of LED flashes tells you what has occurred) and has been reliable - had the settings modified a couple of years ago with no problem. Don't have a Web address but try 01925 406300 for nearest stockist.

I had an Avital Maxx (cat) 1 fitted by GAP security (Avital are part of Clifford). Great alarm, crappy fitter.
I've also heard good things on the TOAD range of alarms/immbolisers.
Personally, i'd go for the most basic one there is, ideally IMO, a Cat 2 immboliser. Alarms fitment tends to cause more electrical problems than anything else. I only fitted a CAT1 as the insurance company insisted.
