Hello all,
My KPH speedo fitted to 82 SC has begun to fail most of the time, only twitching sporadically on acceleration, and remaining stubbornly at zero the rest of the time.
Had it out of dash and cleaned up the contacts, to no avail,
any thoughts you lot!

Sensor on the trans? Mine's doing the same thing, just ordered from Pelican last month, haven't put it in yet. When it goes flukey, the fuel economy shift light goes south with it. I figured if it were the speedo itself, the shift light would be unaffected, so in my mind, it's speed sensor related.

Right had the clock out again, and gave terminals a really good clean up and its working again, but on a similar vein with warning lights,
the oil pressure switch, is breaking up,
leaving the yellow light on (on tickover) and hot weather whilst simultaneously,
activating the brake warning light (red) on dash next to seat belt, so I know its neither system operating by themselves.
Voltage regulator ?

voltage regulator is a really good place to start looking.
Take measurements at the battery while in idle and see if you read +14VDC or higher.
IIRC, intermittent gauge lighting is an initial indication of this problem.
