1988 911 3.2 just went over 150,000 miles.
Hit 150,000 miles this weekend on a Sunday drive. 1988 911 built July 1987. I've owned her sine Dec 2005 when I bought her with 67,000 miles.
From June just before we left Stuttgart after three phenomenal years in Germany.

My 1988 Venetian Blue barnfind. The real life Top Gun drove it in highschool and took it with him to the Airforce Academy. Everyday someone was pulling the cover off of it so he had his dad trailer it back to the farm where it primarily sat from 1992-2014 until my wife and I scooped it up with 25k on the odometer and have since put over 15k on it. We are preparing to drive to Luftgekühlt this coming Spring on a newly refinished set of 16x8 & 16x9 fuchs (not pictured)

On a long and lonely highway south of Searchlight this evening. I could see for miles and decided to see if the Cibie lights were noticably speed limiting.....they were. Took almost 20 seconds to go from 105mph to my goal of 140mph......OOPS.....looked down was going 145+mph

Here's some high-speed Autobahn footage from Germany last year. Stock everything except for my Griffith's A/C! Handles great at 6200 RPM in 5th. Purrs like a kitten. YT deleted the music I had...something silly about copyright.

I'll get a picture or two to tell most of the story. Car was planted. Not the same car as a stock example. Perfectly balanced front to back. So much more confidence. Let's just say I hit lots of 55mph posted corners at 110mph. ....just ran out of room and had my wife in the car so......
Up front: Elephant rubber bushings, Lemforder ball joints, re-valved inserts, 22mm solid T-bars, spindles raised 26mm, gusseted and de-cambered 1° (~2° neg), ~24.5" arch height, twin steering arms, heim joints, adjustable bump steer, rack spacers, stock sway, yada yada......and floating 930 brakes.
In the back I have rebuilt Bilstein coilovers assisting the stock T-bars. Crazy, I know. Springs are 150#, 90#, 4#. I went full retard with big rods and all the goodies Juan at Bilstein Poway could offer. Also have the new Eibach 25mm hollow sway bar set on full stiffness. All bushings are Elephant rubber. Also have 930 brakes here. Something like ~1,75° neg camber and a touch of neg toe. Arch is about 24.25". Everything, I mean everything came from Rebel or Einmalig.
I've never admitted this, but the entire suspension and brake package has cost me less than $4,000 to build. Brakes were a trade for a $2,000 tub, front struts we're a few hundred in parts and the coilovers we're less than $800. Bushings and brake lines are cheap. All the fresh hardware was simple CAD replate. Did pay Rebel to mill the new mounting holes for the rear calipers but did the supply port milling myself.

Got together with friends on Saturday for a wash and shine on our cars for a charity event on Sunday called Motor4toys.
Here's my 77 late Saturday afternoon.
