It's graphite to lubricate it while they are working on it. Just talked to the shop. They refinished all of the parts, so I would have been surprised if it was damaged. Thanks for pointing out though! Peace of mind!

Yesterday... Third time I've driven it since i got it on the road after its 4+ neglection/hiatus. I absolutly adore this thing... '79 Petrol on Cork

Next up, alignment and a drop to Euro height. Corner balance as well, possibly...

Ah, I had no idea. Thank you! 🙂 I'll have to look in to this further.

And a (dirty) pic of my car to stay on topic.

Ya, let's just say your effort with "paint correction" was very well spent

And for the record, Black or G.Red with Fuchs are the quintessential classic 911 look of the 80s ...they scream out COOL, imho. Superb examples. gents!!!

Those aren't my kids! Pesky neighborhood kids that get in the car every time it's in the driveway!

Kidding. They love the car. It's been gone for a couple of months now, so they are dying to get it back. I recovered the seats with pepita inserts, so curious to see how that turns out.

The engine goes back in this week. Here are the latest photos!

Really, really impressed with Porsche North Houston!

Many thanks, my man. That was a solid 3 days of work; very rewarding.

Is this beauty also Talbot yellow? It's looks slightly darker, but that could just be the lighting, looks great in any case, but then I'm prejudice.
