A great drive over the week from Stuttgart to Ramstein via the back roads and a ferry across the Rhine! I selected "No freeways" on the GPS and drove west through the Black Forest and crossed the Rhine on a small ferry for about $4.50. Route was then on some small back roads paralleling the French border and through the vineyards with a snow and freezing rain storm for fun. Finally through the rolling hills and canyons into Ramstein from the south. I have a 2014 911/50 and it is amazing and better in every way, but the 88 3.2 puts more smiles on my face. It has more "soul."

Here is my '86 Carrera - just added the Classic Navigation system. LOVE IT! Very very cool.
Bluetooth is fabulous, as is iPod interface. You get the choice of ***** for the radio, with all plastic (what I chose) or with a chrome ring (for earlier cars?). iPod integration is terrific - same as PCM, with cover art. Great stock look.

Looking to put it in this...

[QUOTE=Aussiejohn;13116454]. . . What is a Classic Navigation system?!/QUOTE]
This topic probably deserves its own thread.
Porsche Classic Radio
"Atlanta. Classic on the outside yet ultra-modern on the inside: with its newly developed navigation radio, Porsche is responding to the growing demand for a built-in device for classic sports cars. The purpose-built unit combines the style of yesteryear with the benefits of modern technology. It fits perfectly into the DIN-1 slot that has been used in the sports cars for decades and is operated by means of two *****, six discreetly integrated buttons and a touch-sensitive 3.5-inch display."

(Still wondering about where I can get a classic navigation system too. Pfaff Porsche near Toronto is telling me they're not released yet - maybe just not in Canada)
