I just bought the 85 targa that was hit in the rear. I am moving all the parts over to a 1970 coupe I have. Anyone ever put a targa door on a coupe, looks like all I will need to change is the window trim, the targa does not have the trim around the top of the window. I am hoping to get the electric windows in the 1970 without having to tear the doors apart completely.
thanks in advance

Hello
OK you are talking about the trim and that is different between the Years but always identical on Targa and Coupe. The newer door shells mostly have all the needed holes to be used in older cars. In fact it is simpler to modify a 993 door to be used ina a 901 then vice versa.
Also there is a slight difference from the doorshells. Open cars have a smaller windowchannel cutout. You have to file up the ends to fit the Coupe windowframe.
Windowwinder for Targa and Coupe are differet as well but with some brain, tools and time you can mix the parts.
