I drive a 1996 C4, Does anyone know of an aftermarket option to replace the pop up cassette holders located at the rear of the center console?
Anythng more practical?

Do what I do, throw them on the floor in front of the passenger seat. It works great for CD's and when you have a passenger, they can caddy for you.

This topic was covered in the 993 list. There is a factory replacement which is just a dish with a rubber bottom..really cheap. There is a much more expensive replacement which is a center "armrest". Looks too much like something from an RV in my opinion. Anways, the thread is at :

You may want to keep an eye on this list if you have a 96 993. Lots of good stuff!!
