Post engine removal in vancouver wa.

I am going to be removing my engine within the next month.

I have a heated shop with a cable hoist that I will be using. If there is anybody in the Vanc. area and would like to give me advise or hands on you are more than welcome to join me. I would like to have somebody that has done this job before.

I plan on removing the engine to detail the engine compartment, along with some maint. issues. (oil leaks, valve adjustments etc.)

So if you feel like having some early evening fun around a 3.2 let me know.

Thank You Tony G. Calvert
800-270-6044 work

PS Chuck West you are welcome to join us, I will call you when I get closer to the date.

The only change I would make to the tech article is to remove the engine and transmission as a unit. FYI

good luck !

My god.......A fellow lister in Vancouver, WA?

My engine drop (literally) experiences are confined to the 914, but I know how to turn wrenches.

Lemmeno when/where......

Does Chuck West hang out here? If so, did you get your car fixed? I need another lesson on AX humility.

JPIII, I am thinking about next week sometime. First week in Feb. I will most likely do it at night after work. The shop is at my office in battleground. I will post another message when I have an exact date and time.

Thanks Tony

Uh oh......

I was shuffled off to 2nd shift (2:30-11:00 pm) at the Lazy B (Portland Chapter) last month. I guess you could call that a "prior commitment".

Tony:

The Pelicanheads had a git together to drop an engine (Northwest area) and it was a blast from what I understand. You might shoot for a Saturday morning as most folks can make this date.

Good luck, this is a very useful way to get to know other owners and have a good time at it!
