wheels??
I now have 3 sets of wheels (!!), and I'm considering a 4th.
16x6 / 16x7 black fuchs
16x6 / 16x8 '92 C2 5-spoke
17x7.5 / 17x9 Mille Miglia Cup 1's
Considering:
16x6 / 16x8 Gold BBS weaves
The 17's improve the handling of the car some, but at the expense of some acceleration (heavier wheels). I don't personally like the look at all, but the wheels were cheap to get into. I think the black fuchs on the black 84 are a bit much, but they look ok. The C2's are thinner spoke than the Cup 1's, I think they look very nice on the car too, but something about gold BBS wheels on a 911 does it for me - also period-dates the car IMO.
Nothing screams 80's like gold BBS's.

see im going for a more modern look, i like my fuchs but i want bigger rims. ill keep my fuchs and get them redon to match my car better, their white and my car is now white with blue pearl in it.
There are lots of options,
IMHO, stay away from spacers, adaptors and cast wheels.
Do use Fuchs, Fikse, Kinesis etc.
My car w/ Kinesis

A site w/ a selection of wheels that others have used
911 Wheel Fitments
You will never feel a few extra pounds of weight say < 10#, you will feel a few fractions of an inch in tire height say >.2", shorter will feel quicker at lower revs and taller will feel slower.

wow those are stunning, see thats what i want something nice like a 5 spoke rim with a polished lip. i think for the mean time i may look into 17inch turbo twist rims, theres a red carrera in my area that runs around on them and looks good from what ive seen. those would be temporary untill i have the money to spend on some ncie wheels.
you car looks great, got anymore pics of it??

I have the cups on mine and get quite a few compliments. I have had a problem with the left front grabbing the fender lip and pulling it down (happened only once) and it seems my left front is about 1/3 of an inch lower than my right. Suspect it needs some tweaking.

is that your car in your avatar?? thats the exact set up im prolly gonna get for the mean time. being a tad younger then most everyone here im sure i have a little less play money right now. but i do plan on getting nice rims eventually
Bill, I agree completely with one of your choices - Fikse.
Even before the 911 pulled me in, one of the SHO guys I track with had some 17's done in the FM10, looked great. Personally my favorite Fikse is the FM5, done in the Race Black, with the turned / polished trim ring (very similar to your Kinesis wheels). Unfortunately, I just don't have the coin to drop on wheels like that.
If you don't mind me asking, what year / flares / wheel offsets do you have to make everything work like that? Incredible looking car, BTW.
