Cool Tracquest @ The Glen

For all those that have been to a Tracquest event before know what a well run function this is.

For those that have been only to PCA DE events, you will love this. There are three run groups and you get 30 minute runs.

Instructors that are provided are top notch. Todd Serota the sponser of TQ encourages you to go with different instructors to learn as much as you can from their experience.

One of the best things is the fact that you can go out in other cars as passengers. I was able to go out in my friends 911 and see how he was driving compared to my line. Being that there are other cars such as BMWs, Ferraris, Vipers and Z06 Vettes it makes for an exciting day both in the garage and on the track.

Got to witness a Ferrari go wailing past me on the front straight. There was a great guy named Jim in a twin-turbo 911 that took people out for a run. It compared to the best amusement ride you have ever been on and then some. Folks, if you can make one DE event, I highly recommend Tracquest. It makes taking the time off and making the trip well worth it.

If you want to learn more look at <a href="http://www.tracquest.com" target="_blank">http://www.tracquest.com</a>

Here is a view of the hotel parking lot in the morning. I do not get to see a line up like this often. <a href="http://www.buoy.com/~jsailer/tracquest/pages/Watkins%20Glen%20046.htm" target="_blank">http://www.buoy.com/~jsailer/tracquest/pages/Watkins%20Glen%20046.htm</a>

So who else is going to be attending TQ @ The Glen October 26th and 27th. (Did I mention it is a weekend too?!)

Eugene,

I will be driving a red 86 911 coupe, # 748. My friend will also be attending with his blue 85 911 coupe. I am not sure if they mention you need numbers on your car but Watkins Glen flaggers will request to have numbers on your car so they can identify you.

Last time there, there was a large Z06 population. We need more Porsches!!

See you there! Anyone else going?

Jon.

I put in a request for a number (92)
including 3 more.

Don't know if I will get it. May already been assigned.

I will be in a Black 87 951

I don't know of anyone else going.

What is the " usual " number of cars ?

I will look for you and your friend.

Hi Jon,

Hope all your DE's between the on one late Aug at Watkins Glen and now have been fun. I won't be able to make this one. Did you happen to post any pics of the Metro NY DE event?

Have a great time!

Mike!

No, I never got around to creating a web page yet from the last event at WGI.

I plan on having a busy DE schedule next year if I get my trailer this winter. So keep me posted of any events in your area.

Eugene, if I remember correctly, there were about 75 cars there. It was great with the amount of tracktime and less cars than PCA. Although, if enough people do not sign-up, events have been cancelled (Mid-Ohio). So lets make sure we get more people going. It is a great event and it is on a weekend!

Jon.

My number at the Glen will be 29

As Tracquest gets more known in the east coast,
I hope that more people will give it a try.

Jon,

I'll be there. Maybe we'll "caravan" up to the Glen that friday night?

See you at Lime Rock with Metro NY on wednesday?

Email me at home later.
