Post CHARCOAL CANISTER

CAN THE CHARCOAL CANISTER BE REMOVED FROM
AN 87 CARRERA 3.2 WITHOUT ADVERSE AFFECT AND CAN THE LINES JUST BE PLUGGED? I HAVE RELOCATED MY OIL COOLER TO THE RIGHT BRAKE
DUCT ON MY SLANT NOSE CARRERA AND THE
"REAL ESTATE" IS BECOMING VERY CROWDED
AND EITHER I HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER LOCATION OR GET RID OF IT.
THANKS GUYS

I ws finding little bits of charcole in the airbox of my 78SC. i thought I had problems with a mouse, then I discovered it was comming fro mthe charcole canister. It is used to capture gas vapors from the tank, I believe. I just removed the whole thing and threw it in the trash. I have noticed no problems whatsoever.
