Red face SC No Start

I recently ran my SC out of fuel (long story).
After I got it back home, I replaced the fuel filter. I then turned the key to just before start, pushed up on the plate inside of the airbox, felt solid resistance as it built up pressure within the fuel system and it started right up. I drove it 4 or 5 times since then with no problems. I replaced the oil return tubes to fix a small leak last weekend and when I was done, started the car and ran it while filling with oil. I shut off the car after 4 or 5 minutes to clean any residual oil left from the repair and when it was time to put the car in the garage, no go!! It would not start, I tried pushing up on the plate in the airbox, and it would not provide resistance to prove pressure in the system. When I push it up I can hear the difference in sound but no pressure. Has anyone had a similar problem? Should I check the fuel pump and how? Is it the accumulator and how would I test it?

Thanks for your response.

You need to perform a fuel system pressure check. You can either pay a shop hourly wages to do it, or for $70 purchase a tester from JC Whitney to do it yourself. If you decide to do it yourself, you will also need one of the books on Bosch fuel injection that describe the procedures and specs for your system. Without this test, you are just shooting in the dark with CIS.
