I need a new clutch cable. Besides Pelican, where you buy your parts from?

I've had good luck with Performance Products.

I called autozone and they told me they could order the clutch cable for $30.99. More than half pelican's price. Has anyone gotten parts from local shops like autozone?

Have been very happy with vertex www.vertexauto.com. Usually much less than all the others.

Mike
I needed a gas filter the other week and went to Auto Zone, to my supprise the did however
when I go home and opened the box it was no where close. I will admit that I seen it listed on the
computer and thought everything would be OK. I use the following http://www.europeanautomotive.com/ and they have been very good and the price is right
Hope this helped.

Pelican gets most of my business - but I did get a o2 sensor for less than 1/2 price of the others at Advance Auto Parts

Ditto. I just bought new tail light lenses from them. Two were only a little bit more than ONE from most of their competition. I've found them cheaper on a lot of other parts, too.

There are several discounting Porsche dealers, with around 25% discounts (roughly the same as cost + 15%), that also provide excellent service. Of course the euro and Porsche pricing is putting pressure on the competitiveness, even with the discount. Hennessy Porsche in Atlanta, Sunset Porsche in Oregon, Hendrick Porsche in North Carolina, Reeves Porsche in Tampa, and Brumos Porsche in Jacksonville typically offer discounts for out of state purchases. For other Porsche dealers, always ask if they have a PCA or POC discount. Also, Performance Products has a 15% PCA discount. Unless things have changed, Vertex charges a 3% credit card fee as well as a handling fee bundled in their shipping fee. They do carry a good selection of products.

Vertex has good prices and service is fair-good until something goes wrong. If you have an advertised price you have to press them to make sure you get it. If you have a problem with your order, you have a problem!

I use Foreign Intrigue (in Maine). Prices are a bit more than Vertex, but service is unbeatable. I order parts and have them sent to my office in CT. UPS ground is there next day, every time.

I'll second Foreign Intrigue, especially good prices on their Jan/Feb yearly sale (although I haven't bought any for awhile, they used to have the best prices on Swepco gear oil). Another good parts source is Paragon Products, which I've ordered from for years. Good products, service, and Jason is one of the best!.

Add Suncoast Porsche in FL and Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies in Wisconsin Also, Steve Weiner at Rennsport Systems has excellent connections for parts and does not mark them up from what you would pay directly to the vendor (I don't know how he does it), as well as getting his expertise and experience in selecting the needed part and it's application.

GPRParts is good, as is EurowebParts (formerly Europroducts).
