Proud to say that Vertex Auto no longer charges a 3% credit card fee or any handling fees. We listen to your feedback and strive for Vertex to be a better place to shop for you Porsche parts.

911 86 clutch cable

RockAuto $25.79
Autohaus Arizona $26.97

My Porsche dealer will meet or beat this pricing.

Good for you. I'm pretty sure the OP has found a new cable in the last 5 years.

Given the competitive inclination of the two Porsche dealers within 20 minutes drive, there's no need for me to source parts from Pelican. All I need is Pelican pricing and the Porsche part number for either dealer to undercut them. Added bonus - no overcharge on Pelican freight to Ohio.

Pelican gets the lion share of my parts for 3 cars. But, it seems like more and more of their parts don't qualify for the "Free Shipping". So, I always check elsewhere. I've seen expensive parts on Pelican listed less than , say, Vertex but when you realize you aren't getting the free shipping, they come out very similar.

I mainly want to offer up that Advance Auto Parts and Rock Auto both have killer deals on rebuilt calipers. They do tend to have very low stock, however. I sent some cores in recently so in a month or two they should have their inventory up. LOL. They both sell ATE brand calipers, rebult by Cardone. At about $40 each, they are easier than rebuilding yourself.

I don't think most here would mind rebuilding their own, in fact they'd probably prefer to.

Please consider the web site - www.redlinetechnik.com - the site is the "new guy" on the block, but you will receive only Porsche authorized parts, always at competitive prices. If you ask, in most situations you will also receive expert advice from guys who repair the cars every day, and have almost certainly repaired the problem that you're having.

I will make a bet that those two cables are after market. Don't touch either with a ten-foot pole!

Good guess. RockAuto is a Dorman and Autohaus AZ doesn't say. Pay more, get more.

Hey guys. Marc from RedLineTechnik.com here. Yes where new guys on the block when it comes to the internet, but we have more practical Porsche, real world experience then any of our competition. We're not the typical on-line store that sells anything made for a Porsche. We only sell Porsche genuine and the highest quality aftermarket available. When it comes to clutch cables the aftermarket will "get you home" but only the genuine feels like O.E. and lasts twice as long as aftermarket.
Being new we don't have a lot of parts listed but if you don't see it e-mail us and we'll give you a quote. Tell me your best on line price and I should be able to meet or beat it.
Thanks for considering us.

Parts guy at the dealer would not match prices and suggested I go with Pelican.
