Canadian Porsche Owners

Actually, Paul, there is a reason to go back to Canada. I was living in Dallas for the last two years, made good money and pais less tax for sure, but the pollution was unbearable. It eventually made me sick and I cant live in polluted cities anymore. It's still a great place tho, very nice people down there. Actually any place is nice when you've got a Porsche.

Well I have to go back at some point, my '84 944 is still in Canada. Never seen a winter though. I bought it new in St Catherines when Performance Cars was still a Porsche dealer, then it moved with me to Indiana but didn't make the trip out east. It still has an Indiana title but is stored in my mom's garage in Simcoe Ontario.
Not likely to move back to Canada, married an American girl, just most likely won't stay in this area.

Tansplanted Vancouverite living in Southern California. Although it's been great being paid in US$ and working in an economy that actually has more jobs than people, there are definitely many good reasons to go back, but not at least for a couple more years.
Any other CDNs close by, more than welcome to come and share a couple of pints.
Cheers,

Hey Guys,
I'm in Toronto and our '87 dunkel blau Carrera cabriolet is sleeping in the garage (although it seems a waste with the warm weather we are having). Car is stock but I'd like to put headers and a better exhaust on it. Anybody in Toronto with an aftermarket exhaust? I'd like to sample what a few sound like before buying one.
Ciao,
Alex J.

I am in Vancouver, my 96 993 Targa is sleeping (acually, its alive and awake), but on my "operating table" receiving a good dose of maintenance.
Never thought of moving to the US. I have travelled extensively in my job (all over Europe, Asia and the US) and so far I will stick with Vancouver as a home base. I have two kids and Canada is the best place for them right now.
Maybe we need to think about the money the other way...start a business in Canada that exports and receives US dollars! (The business my partners and myself started is 100% export)!

'88 911 cabriolet, triple black, all stock, hibernating in a garage in Etobicoke (that's in Toronto).
BTW, any Toronto people here, I am trying to organize a get-together in the West end. Beer (or Coke), wings and car talk. Also trying to set up a tour with my Porsche tech who is currently building 3 nice new 911 engines.
email me if interested.

I'm in Ancaster (center of the universe). My 1989 Carrera Cab is hybernating as well although when the opportunity arises (i.e. nice sunny day after the rain cleans the salt off the road). I take her out for a warm up loop. My favorite place to drive is state side, specifically, the back roads of northern Vermont.

Regina, SK! (The real centre of the universe)
'82SC, was hibernating, now that we're at -35 I consider the car cryogenically preserved. Can hardly wait till the end of March!
A voluntarily transplanted Vancouverite. If that sounds crazy, email me and we'll "talk"
