Post 911 Cross Country

O:K, Finally finished restoration (Complete from ground up to include 3.2 from an 85) of 1976 911 Targa that belonged to my dad. What a pleasure to see the car now as it was then.

Now I'm planning a trip from Alabama to Florida to show off the car and need a little help on spare parts to take along (Just in case).

I have been contemplating a 1500 mile trip. I have heard that the most common thing to take are extra relays.

You can load the car up with tools and spare parts that you will probably never use, but might make you feel better on a long drive. In my 72E and now my 86 Carrera here is what I carry on a long trip:
1 black and 1 red relay
8,16,20 amp fuses
fan belt
6 feet of 12 gauge wire
roll electric tape
set of sockets 8mm thru 18mm
set of wrenches 8mm thru 18 mm
pliers
wire cutter
small adjustable wrench
factory tool for removing fan belt
lug nut wrench
jack
air compressor for spare
towel for laying on if I need to get under the car and for cleaning up.
2 shop rags
cell phone

I know it sounds like a lot, but these tools and parts do not take up much room.
