Post 76/77 Carrera 3.0 Euro part #'s

Hi, I own a 1976 Carrers 3.0 Targa. These Carrera 3.0's are the high HP Euro only models, made in 1976 & 1977 and were the predessessor to the 911SC available in USA beginning 1978. I'm interested in opening up a disscussion on these rare cars. I've investigated thoroughly part numbers, correct motor components, etc. but still have many questions. I know there are still a few of these cars out there with low miles and all original. Mine is 95%. I would really appreciate hearing from all 76/77Carrera 3.0 owners. If we help each other out we can restore these rare classics to their beastly original selves.

I'm currently looking for a good used warmup regulator Bosch#0-438-140-089 and info concerning distributor curve/vaccum canister # for this car. I'm currently running a 001 dist. (77911S) Which, from what I've heard, can be adjusted to match the original 006? any thoughts?

Thanks much, Jay

I owned '77 Carrera 3.0 #9117600027, an India Red sunroof coupe. I was the second owner, and she was beautiful. Tragically, I wrecked it last summer. I know tons about these cars, as I did all my own wrenching (including an engine rebuild) and lots of investigation into the peculiarities of this model.

And Noah thinks it looks like an ice cream truck. LOL.......
