That wide-angle picture makes it look like there would be a real need for bolts. But it's very stable without them. It's not like a two-post lift where the slab has to act as a crossmember.

That said, I'm bolting it down with 6" Red Head anchors, and the pad I put underneath it is tied into the main slab with rebar and is 8" thick with both rebar and mesh reinforcement.

Here's a look at the balancing point of the car, including how that moves with changes to the front or rear weight.

My Bendpak is quite stable too, even at max height, which is rarely needed.

And your Bend-Pak will lift other cars, not just a 911. The way I ended up going was dictated by the size of my garage and the fact that -- for $455 -- I was willing to forego having a multi-purpose tool and just have something to lift my 911. It's not a solution I would recommend for others. And my shoulders are still sore from the digging and the concrete. But I'm able to have a way to lift the race car now in a way that doesn't interfere with anything else I do in the garage.

Vestil EHLT-4848-3-43.

I would have rather gotten a higher-capacity model. But my car is pretty light.
