Default Help Me Identify/Confirm this Engine (Pics)

This is a picture of the engine from my fathers 76 911S. It should be 3.0L engine, built in 87, but I'd like to confirm it. There were two numbers that I found on it, one visible on the picture and one found under the vehicle. The vehicle is for sale and thus my interest in finding/confirming this important aspect.

Numbers found are as follows

Top of engine, visible in photo: 930.106.101.OR

Underside of Engine: 330.101.103.4R

Here's a photo of the Weber carburetors. Any information on these things would also help.

Apparently the ignition and ECU has been upgraded

I know I'm asking for a fair amount of information and I appreciate your time on this issue. Whatever information anyone has please let me know. I've done searches on the engine numbers provided but they have turned up nothing, its possible these might be the wrong numbers.

Thank You

I think that the 930.xxxxx # is simply the part # for the 11 blade fan assy.
There should be a much smaller number (in size) stamped into the case, rather than raised above the surface such as this one is.
IIRC, it should be located near the distributor, on the left side of the case seam.
(This could be totally wrong though, as I cannot honestly recall. I do know that it is stamped into the case and not raised.)

Right those are p/n's. Look on the vertical boss by the fan on the pass. side. Wipe it off and use a light to read if need be.

By 1987, at least the US cars had 3.2L engines and prob. all the world. the 3L's were used 1978-83, and the 2.7L 's from 1974-77. None came stock with carbs. It looks like someone added the carbs. They are valuable but reduce the market as the car cannot be registered in Caliif.

Green shroud is most certainly from a 75-77; fan looks like a 78-79 SC (226mm?), carbs are definitely not stock as those years (actually starting on the early 70's) they all had CIS.

The important question is, does it run OK? Did he get a good deal? Is he enjoying it?

Runs good. Seems to have a lot of pick-up. The reason I posted these photos is that my father has asked me to sell his vehicle. Before I can place an add, I've got to basically understand what I'm selling.

I'm leaving for business on the 19th and should return on the 24th. I will look for those smaller numbers stamped on the case as soon as I return and post them. If you guys need more photos, I've got them.
