Sam Shalala at ProTecknik is my recommendation too. He raced in IMSA with us back in the early to mid -90's.

Default Eurocar-Werk

I have been dealing with Eric at Eurocar-Werk for over 15 years. He has handled everything from my
73 Carrera RS to my 1996 Twin Turbo. They have been around over 30 years and do the best
"air-cooled" work in Houston, ie...I have tried most listed in this thread and have stuck with Eurocar-Werk.

Their number is 713-661-6428. Call Eric and he is more than happy to talk Porsches!!!

Thanks for the bump... I've been in Katy for a few years but still haven't found or needed a good Porsche mechanic, yet... knock wood... Good to know about Mike Callas in Sealy, which is just around the corner from me...

X2 on Pro Technik. Best Porsche shop in our area.

Swiss Garage for maintenace is great, small repairs. Quick, decently priced, great location at least for me.

Eurowerks -1 had friends with issues there.

Mike is the best! Especially dealing with aircooled 911's. Amazing mechanic and person to deal with and I sorely miss him... I used to drive 80 miles from my home at the woodlands to go see him...

Since IB took over and Google has more invasive search capabilities on RL, these are occurring more and more.....

Hey Muadib,

If you're in Katy, you should visit C&B European at Highland Knolls & Mason Road. Cinco Ranch area. Craig Johnston (owner) was a Master Tech at Porsche for 12 years before going out on his own. 281.392.6565

I thought Sam sold Pro Tecknik about 2 1/2 years ago. Now an employee. New location is 59 & Bissonett. Same number 281.879.8861

Resurrecting an old thread because my 911SC Targa won't go into reverse.
I used to go exclusively to Pro Technic and am very unhappy that they no longer exist.
Prior to them I went to Eurocar Werk and wasn't knocked out. Used Paul Koby on a 380SL but he's out of the biz too apparently.

So who is the go to shop for 911SC these days? Do I need to go to Sealy? If so, it's not a problem but I'm certainly open to recommendations closer to Houston.

Thanks.

Thanks for the tip.

Called Modern midday yesterday and left a message, they have yet to reply.
Called again today, no answer on the phone. Flooded ? Too Busy?
Emailed them just now, we'll see.
Not promising on first impressions.

I use Porsche North Houston. They are currently rebuilding the engine in my 911T. They have a new classic service department with techs with factory training/factory parts. When I went over there, they had a 911TT taken apart. Some photos of my engine they sent me today.

I've used some of the independent shops before and am happy to make the drive out to PNH and get it done right. I think it's cheaper in the long run. My 2 cents.

All you have to do is post.
I heard back from Modern and they will be getting back to me with their scheduling.
North Houston looks interesting too with the specialists in the classics.
I got the car originally from North Fwy Porsche Audi in 82 so it might go back there.
Thanks for the tips, still investigating, no decision yet. More data points are always welcome.
